Exhausted but don't want to sleep...

Mon-Thurs I didnt get home any earlier than 11. Just a continuous flow of random tasks that needed taking care of. Its all a very boring story but the highlight is that I finally got my transfers set so I can finally share my movies with those who think that film school means no work. :-P

I shot Devra's movie this weekend. It went quite well. Props to Elizabeth on her first AD gig and a job well done at that. Props to David for discovering that being on set isnt always miserable and keeping me smiling all the while. Props to Mike for simply being there and helping me learn to feel secure with the whole situation. Props to Devra on her decisions especially in the unfamiliarity of a new location. Props to Matt for being a chill AC who gets it done and doesn't take it personally when I pester him. Props to DJ for walkin around in briefs half the time! Props to Topper who is still great even with the ego trip that prevents him from holding bounce board. Props to John Holmes the boom op for pissing me off the most by not realizing the agility of the boom poll and sound blankets. (props to me for not introducing his nuts to my foot). Props to Nikki for not being his annoying accomplice (and for giving Zach Shedd a hicky...ehem). Props to Alan even tho I really didn't notice he was there most of the time.

At the beginning of the shoot I was relying very heavily on Mike's advice and broad range of knowledge but I feel like I progressed to less dependency towards the end. Sunday everyone was pooped each for their own personal reasons which made us both silly and droopy. But I had fun and I'm really happy with how it went.

Teeth are better...now lets all forget it.

Saw Sin City last night...phenomenal. Stylistic films usually come off as pretentious to me but when it is as well done as this was, it becomes a part of the story rather than a device the filmmakers use to show off. I was amazed.

There really isnt much I can recall from this week. I am so short of sleep. But every time I have a chance to take a nap, I suddenly don't want to. There's something else I'd rather be doing. It's always a very general notion that I want to be active. But that anxiety's coming from somewhere. Careful Liv...
